The IT Data Specialist is an integral member of the Medical Alley organization, unifying its external presence with its internal functionality and adding value to the Senior Leadership Team through data analytics. This position works with internal and external resources to refresh, expand and maintain Medical Alley’s website. The IT Data Specialist reports to the Starts team and its leadership.
The IT Data Specialist leverages technology platforms to collect and analyze data and prepare reports for the Senior Leadership Team to support Medical Alley’s strategic goals.
The IT Data Specialist leads efforts to ensure that Medical Alley develops novel tools and services that enhance the company’s value proposition and integrates new technology into the company’s business.
The IT Data Specialist is the Point of Contact (POC) between Medical Alley and its vendors providing technology services and partners with the Senior Leadership Team in evaluating technology requirements to maintain/enhance the organization’s technology infrastructure.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
IT Data Administration (55%):
• Maintain and enhance internal technology platforms, including CRM systems, collaboration tools, and integrated applications
• Maintain and improve current CRM usage with team members, inclusive of training and expanded automation, reporting, and integration opportunities
• Develop tools and automations that improve internal operations and increase productivity.
• Manage shared software subscriptions, system documentation, and digital records
• Act as liaison for technology vendors and service providers to ensure services are being maximized
Web Management (25%):
• Manage and maintain the organization’s website and related digital properties
• Create new ways to present data to external Partners.
• Develop new tools that can help external Partners share resources and make connections
• Develop products and digital solutions that grow the organization's impact and value
• Support operational and communications needs through digital correspondence and process improvements
Administrative (20%):
• Contribute value to external Partner experiences related to Medical Alley events, digitally and in person.
• Assist with event and program technology support, including registration systems, data tracking, and on-site support as needed
• Participate in cross-functional projects and evolving organizational initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Technology tools/applications: WordPress, DNS record management, CRM (specifically HubSpot), Swoogo, Google Drive, Zoom, Slack, Teams and Rooms management, NiceBoard, QuickBooks, Strip, Square, YouTube, Wistia
• Integration Software: Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate, Uncanny or similar
• Experience with dashboards, analytics, and automated workflows
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Must possess a high level of comfort and social skills to interact with individuals and groups, engaging at all levels of an organization, particularly at the C-suite level.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• Self-motivated with bias to action; accountability standards and personal/professional ethics.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strategic thinker and continuous learner who demonstrates the willingness and ability to disseminate complex information.
• Programming skills and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Heroku
Position Details:
Category: Full-time, Exempt employee.
This position is in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. Hybrid schedule with required in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
