Job Description
Hydrolix is a fast growing startup that is revolutionizing the world of data management and analytics. As we continue to scale, we’re seeking an experienced Director of Solutions Engineering to lead our Americas Solutions Engineering Organization. The Director will have Presales and Technical Account Manager (TAM) teams reporting to them within the Americas region. This role requires close alignment with the regional sales leader and global peers to ensure that local market, customer, and partner needs are met. As the Director of Solutions Engineering, Americas, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the successful achievement of sales targets and growth targets across the region to a wide variety of customers, partners, and ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically align presales and TAM teams with regional sales leadership and global peers, prioritizing initiatives to achieve key business objectives with a sales-first mindset.
- Provide executive oversight for technical validation in sales cycles, including service delivery operations, presales, implementation, and support. Drive efficiency, quality, and scalability in each of these areas.
- Understand and address local market, customer, and partner needs and development, tailoring service delivery approaches to address regional nuances.
- Direct the assignment and prioritization of customer and partner tasks to ensure timely and successful service delivery, meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
- Champion and foster a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement.
- Lead the recruitment, training, professional development and performance management for team members.
- Design, develop and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Or equivalent and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing a Presales/field facing organization in a SaaS/MaaS/PaaS environment with a proven track record of growth
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- A customer-centric mindset, passionate for ensuring customer success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrable Cross-Functional Collaboration, comfortable working with diverse teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving in a fast paced environment.
- Can do attitude and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter who can demonstrate development, growth, and expansion of a territory
- Business-level English skills
- Willing to commute for business trips in region, and multiple times a year to other regions for company meetings
