Software Engineer – Middleware & Marketplace Integrations

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building marketplace automations and integrations within a hyperscaler-independent architecture using JavaScript and Rust. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, efficient, and scalable middleware systems to automate marketplace workflows and integrations.
• Build hyperscaler-independent integration layers, ensuring seamless compatibility across AWS, GCP, Azure and other hyperscalers.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain APIs that connect Hydrolix with third-party services, customer platforms, and internal systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Core Platform, Data Intake, API, Product, and Sales, to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Enhance marketplace automation by implementing event-driven and API-first architectures.
• Contribute to various aspects of the Hydrolix platform, including data ingestion pipelines, performance optimizations, and third-party integrations.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on middleware and integration development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and at least one other language.
• Experience with or willing to learn Rust
• Strong debugging and optimization skills.
• Hands-on experience building API-based middleware and automation workflows.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and integrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Knowledge of database design, data architecture, and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
