Job Description

At Hydrolix, we are transforming the world of log data management and analytics with an innovative streaming data lake purpose-built for petabyte-scale datasets. Using Hydrolix organizations can slash their data costs while simultaneously increasing their data retention. We strive to make a huge positive impact on the businesses of our clients and are looking for Business Development Representatives (BDR) who are inspired by such opportunities to join our team.

As BDR, you will bring your drive, your ambition, and your market instincts to a role that rewards persistence and good people skills with financial and organizational recognition, with an opportunity to advance to any of a number of roles at Hydrolix, and for a chance to set your stamp on the BDR position and the role it plays within a fast-moving, forward-looking organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare assiduously – this role demands diligent research and preparation. Research accounts, map out key personnel, and develop a plan of action that includes high-quality, tailored communications.
  • Be original – Craft original, non-AI content for prospects that reflects Hydrolix’s value modified to fit their vertical and business-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams – this role is where the rubber hits the road in marketing. You’ll partner with demand gen, sales, and product marketing so being a team player who does what they commit to is key.
  • Hit goals – succeeding in the role comes down to delivering on targets. You’ll be tasked with schedule meetings between qualified prospects and sales team members and making sure nothing is dropped. You must thrive on competition.
  • Travel – this role involves travel (up to several times a quarter) to industry events.
Qualifications and Skills
  • One year of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Excellent presentation skills including ability to organize and present thoughts, both internally and to prospective customers and/or partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, demonstrable during the hiring process
  • Self-motivated with an eagerness to hit and exceed targets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listener and taker of notes
  • Can travel at least twice a quarter for tradeshows
