About the Opportunity

We are a venture-backed medical device company preparing for the launch of a groundbreaking thrombectomy system designed to treat venous thromboembolism (VTE) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, as the company builds its commercial organization ahead of a major product launch. The leadership team brings a strong track record of successfully scaling early-stage medtech companies and launching new markets.

Position Overview

The Area Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving commercial success within an assigned territory. This individual will not only be responsible for revenue generation but will also help shape the go-to-market strategy, build key clinical relationships, and contribute to the overall growth and culture of the organization.

This is a highly visible, high-impact role with the opportunity to be one of a select group of sales leaders launching a novel, life-saving technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance and achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to support product launch and market adoption
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospital stakeholders, and key decision-makers
  • Provide clinical and product education to healthcare professionals
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and leadership teams
  • Identify market opportunities and provide feedback to help shape commercial strategy
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a strong customer-first mindset

Qualifications

  • Proven success in medical device sales
  • 5+ years of interventional radiology, cardiology, neuro, or vascular surgery.
  • VTE experience preferred
  • Experience in vascular, thrombectomy, interventional, or related specialties preferred
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup or high-growth environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership capabilities beyond individual contribution
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory

Compensation

Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure (OTE ~$375K)
